ALANKAR
ALANKAAR is the ultimate singing showdown at Amethyst, where passion meets performance and voices light up the stage. Open to both solo artists and duets (one vocalist with one instrumentalist), this two-round competition celebrates musical talent across English and Hindi genres. Participants will first submit a short original composition or cover for the preliminary round, followed by a live stage performance limited to 3+2 minutes. Original compositions and live instrumental accompaniment earn extra points, giving performers the chance to truly stand out. With cash prizes worth ₹20,000 at stake, ALANKAAR promises an electrifying musical experience where every note counts and every voice finds its universe.

ESMERALDA
ESMERALDA at Amethyst is a grand celebration of rhythm, passion, and powerful storytelling through dance. Open to all dance forms, this high-energy group competition welcomes teams of 5 to 20 members, with performances judged on choreography, synchronization, expressions, creativity, stage utilization, and overall impact. The journey begins with an elimination round through a video submission, leading to a thrilling on-stage finale where teams get 3+2 minutes to captivate the audience. Props are allowed to enhance performances (excluding fire, flames, or glass), and professionalism is strictly maintained throughout. From graceful classical to electrifying contemporary and street styles, ESMERALDA is where movement transforms into magic and every step shines under the spotlight.

APOCRYPHA – Battle of Bands at Amethyst is where raw energy, rhythm, and rebellion take center stage. Designed for bands of 4 to 10 members, this electrifying competition gives performers 10 minutes to own the spotlight, along with 10 additional minutes for setup, within a total stage limit of 20 minutes. Bands must bring their own instruments (except drum kit), and will be judged on song selection, vocal and instrumental brilliance, stage presence, audience engagement, and genre versatility. Originality, creativity, and seamless collaboration can earn extra points, while professionalism is key throughout the performance. With cash prizes worth ₹45,000 at stake, APOCRYPHA promises an unforgettable showdown where talent speaks louder than words and music becomes legend.

Amethyst is the annual cultural festival of our college, proudly organized by the Cultural and Music Board. With over 15 cultural events including Battle of Bands, choreography, singing, and debating, Amethyst has earned a reputation for its quality competitions and vibrant atmosphere. Drawing a footfall of 10,000+ participants and spectators, the festival stands as a grand celebration of art, music, and expression, making it one of the most anticipated events of the year.
